泰国前副总理：崇尚和平谦逊礼仪 是亚洲文明的共同点

亚洲人眼中的亚文会，本期我们对话泰中友好协会会长、泰国前副总理Korn Dabbaransi。Korn与中国的缘分始于44年前，他用中文词汇告诉记者，他见证了中国的“改革开放”和“万象更新”，习近平主席提出的“一带一路”倡议，更是向亚洲和世界证明中国并不想独享成功，而是要与世界共享改革开放成就。

In this episode of theCDAC in Asian Eyes, we spoke to Korn Dabbaransi, President of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association and former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. Korn’s connection with China goes back 44 years ago. He toldBeijing Reviewthat he has witnessed China’s remarkable transformation since reform and opening up began in the late 1970s. The Belt and Road Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping shows that China does not want to enjoy this success alone but is keen to share it with the rest of the world.

在他看来，“一带一路”的“带”是和平的纽带，“路”是繁荣之路。他说，亚洲各国文明的共同点就是我们的人民爱好和平，崇尚和平谦逊与礼仪的文化流淌在亚洲人的血液中。此次亚洲文明对话大会，有47个亚洲国家参会，共同探讨如何促进亚洲文化交流和经济发展。

To him, the “belt” in the initiative stands for a “belt of peace” while “road” denotes a “road to prosperity.” He said Asian civilizations have a common trait. Asians love peace and they have modesty and politeness in their blood. Representatives from 47 Asian countries participated in the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations to discuss ways to promote cultural exchanges and economic growth in Asia.

他强调，亚洲国家要在合作中谋和平，在和平中谋发展。和平是发展和繁荣的前提，只有共同努力、向前迈进，亚洲文明才能走上繁荣之路。

Korn emphasized that Asian countries should seek peace in cooperation and pursue development in peace, which is the premise of growth and prosperity. Only when Asian countries make joint efforts and move forward together can they be on a road to prosperity.
